I liked Casino Royale, and liked the darkness that Daniel Craig brought to the table. But there seems to be something missing in the newer movies plots (Quantum sucked ballz). I really enjoyed the older movies and their plots, and quirky villains. Yes they were campy, and the gadgets you always knew that they were going to get him out of a predicament, but that was part of their charm. And for the record, my favorite bond actor is still Roger Moore, followed by Pierce Brosnan. Timothy Dalton can die in a fire though.

I guess I'm the odd man out as I think Craig is the worst James Bond ever. I don't like anything about his acting style.
I concur.
Some movie buffs attempted to explain away his stiffness in Casino Royale by saying that 007 as a character at that point was just starting out and had not developed the suave personality exemplified by other Bond actors who played the spy at later levels of the character's career.
Then there was Quantum of Solace where he did a bit better, but still wasn't quite up to par.
TBH, the trailer doesn't seem that intriguing to me...as a Bond movie, that is.
Since I have watched Bond since the early days I would rather than Craig doing it than the entire series stop producing. I miss Bond and what it has to offer, and what it stands for.
There's been some great James Bonds and some pretty awful ones.
Barry Nelson (1954)
Sean Connery (1962?1971 & 1983)
David Niven (1967)
George Lazenby (1969)
Christopher Cazenove (1973)
Roger Moore (1973?1985)
Timothy Dalton (1986?1993)
Pierce Brosnan (1995?2002)
Daniel Craig (2006?present)
Sean Connery
Roger Moore
Pierce Brosban
Daniel Craig
They all brought their own interpretation to the character to fit the time. For me it will always be Sean Connery at the top of the list.
in this Bond movie, Mr Bond will NOT be drinking vodka martinis, stirred not shaken; instead he will be drinking beer (Heineken beer to be exact) thanks to the contribution of $45M from Heineken.
fail... just plain fail.

I'm looking at it this way...
Perhaps they finally realized that Craig (as Bond) is not worthy of the Bond signature drink.
looking forward to the new bond movie, my favorite bond has to be roger moore & in a view to a kill with christopher walken...walken was great in that movie!
I would have liked to see someone bold try to reboot the franchise but with Brosnan. Yea the last couple movies he did sucked but because they went too silly, not anything to do with Brosnan himself. Not taking into account that Bond originally came from the novels, he embodies more of what I'd imagine a James Bond to be than any of the others that played him. Roger Moore was good too in that regard but was a bit too old I think.
Not that Craig is doing badly - he's doing an admirable job and Casino Royale was a great movie. He's just a little too on the serious side. I wouldn't see a scene like this coming from him:

He got a pass with Casino Royale because (like I said earlier) Bond in that movie had not yet begun to develop into the charismatic Bond we have become familiar with through Brosnan, Connery, et al.
So Craig actually fit the role of the serious, raw and unsure Bond in that particular movie.
Quantum of Solace was his real test and he didn't do so well in embracing the character in regards to adding any real flair to it.

He also has the best Bond line ever in The Man With the Golden Gun, when after shoving Agent Goodnight in a closet to shag Miss Anders. He opens the closet door when finished and utters this
Goodnight: Two? You mean I've been asleep in there for two hours?
Bond: I was just finishing business.
Goodnight: Business? I'm resigning in the MORNING!
Bond: Oh, don't worry, dear. Your time will come too.
Goodnight: Oh, James. You must be good!
Now that's a Bond!
