Yes, DMOZ is dead, reviewers working really slow, and before the few months, DMOZ losted whole!!! new submission database with submission of the 1 day to 1 year and more (and all editors was glad for it!).
DMOZ Is slow (visually it don't work), reviewers are mostly turtles (show me single one, which isn't, all my submission of the big regular sites from the 96 wasn't listed and no reply email was sent to me...), so it going to the shit from the 1996
I'm hearing this stories "I'm waiting 2 years for the DMOZ listing..." from the '96...
It need new system and 10* more of the NEW reviewers.

For the longest time every time I tried to submit sites there was something about a database being lost and them working on backups and because of that no new submissions were being taken.Comment

DMOZ died a long time ago, I don't know why Google gives them authority since they're BS ...$9.95/month for 15000 GB bandwidth monthly, unlimited (sub)domains and MySQL5, PHP4/5, 500 GB disk storage!
