      No! With shorts, one can literally lose their "shorts"!

      However, buying some options may be a better, more worthwhile strategy.

        I doubt you'd be able to get any shares to borrow right away, but you'd be crazy to do it anyway. At least not until after some patterns or earnings come out. Options won't trade for several weeks, but I'm sure the premiums will be sky high as well. Sort of like LNKD, everyone knows that stock is doomed, but it's hard to play the downside with the volatility and option premiums so high.
