I don't see any way it's worth 5k is my point. So the fact that you sold it for that amount proves you guys are pretty good at what you do.

consider this brad- convertmedia.com is great for a sponsor program or an encoding business. as founders build brands, $5k is a drop in the bucket for a usual startup budget. even if one was on a shoe-string budget, $5k is still not a killer. anytime there are no trademark issues combined a perfect generic descriptor and the domain is fairly short, prices in the mid-4-figure range are easily attainable.

As always, if there is a tm issue, then prices are less or zero and if there is traffic/parking revenue then prices can be higher of course. We would not question any of those prices for listing at SailingMoon.

$2500 to $3500 is the range on that- nice domain - 6 characters - pretty hot niche. it might take 12-18 months to move it but by then it could be $4k to $5k as well. sitting on hdvids.com and letting bandwidth continue to explode might not be a bad idea, or price it at $5k and see if we get an impulse buyer or nice offer.

those are good for you to develop and exploit but we have not had much success so far with random word+blog domains or random unpronounceable 4character domains. any offer you get on those you should take. pervertblog is the best of the bunch btw--

Can't thank you enough for your knowledgeable and honest appraisals. Many are on mark with what I would expect out of the names. It's great getting a pro opinion, to compare with my own. Like you said, traffic stats and a few other things add to several domains.

mgpz.com - Nice one Linkster! with some marketing this domain could fetch $4000-$5000. 4 letters and for mgp-er's it is pronounceable. if it was mgps and mgpz together in a package- it would be even nicer. wholesale $600-$750 for a quick-flip fyi. the right marketing and impulse buyer is the key: it's a good retail domain but most portfolio peeps have plenty like it already fyi. another factor is that a foreigner might see the $ sign and be getting a nice discount so it is even less for them and more for you on a sidenote.. lmk what you think and SailingMoon and our HuntingMoon eyeballs are great candidates for this domain. We will be pushing 1000's of type-in's per day at SailingMoon fyi...).

Oemw.com - oem is a decent key and w is acronym-friendly. still, tons out there like this to choose from, so $1000-ish unless you know something i don't like it has traffic or parking revenue etc...

very long-term highly speculative high-risk situation. you are right though, if it resolves it is something to consider. keep the best one's, but i would not waste a lot of time on those. we do buy some assorted extensions and will as well as XPays to protect our brand. the future does have growth- but it has been with .mobi (ugh), .info and some foreign extensions. .biz for example is not happening in the aftermarket. if you believe the growth will be there, then it is natural to figure on all names being taken and used across the board.. i am not advising seeking out packages of .names though of course. need to cherry-pick those for sailingmoon.
