it sure would be nice to have a life of sincere value, rather than the standard issue reality that is installed as our "operating system" from birth, which has little value from what I have observed.
The more that I'm aware of, the more I and most people alike, realize that as a race we don't know much, and rarely get things 100% right. Yet, we speak about subjects in an "absolute" fashion.
Certainly doesn't hurt to have an open mind about things.

Anyone who believes December 21 2012 holds any special significance does not know anything about how the long count calendar works and/or can't do math.
I would explain why, but then you would again just be believing what someone else told you instead of pretending to be intelligent and looking it up yourself.
