what's the reason to have exp date on visa electron cards?

Without money on an electron card you can't use it... or have I missed something?!

Anyone knows why all banks have exp date on them?

I'm ONLY talking about visa electron cards here. NOT regular visa cards.

Main reason is to make sure that the customer keeps their information up to date, I guess. If you don't keep your info up to date, you won't receive your new bank/credit card at the correct address if yoou move.

Probably because many processing systems require it...

I think most credit card terminals / systems require an expiration date to transact it.

Its required on all processing systems. But why not set them to expire after 99 years? Most places issuing electron cards set exp to one or two years.
