The wife and I just got back from seeing Titanic 3D. Despite the sappy chick-flick love story and the somewhat nauseating androngynous twink DeCaprio...the 3D treatment really added an amazing 'you-are-there' feeling to it on the big screen.
I went in with low expectations - and was very much surprised at the new depth added to the scenes (especially during the epic sinking).
Highly recommended - especially on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's demise. Despite my arse growing numb at the 3-hour mark, it was well worth the experience.
Best of all - the overall 3D effect with the glasses doesn't make the movie seem dim and dark (as if watching through sunglasses). Its bright and crisp from start to finish with a lot of details really popping nicely.
