If you are speaking of "slavery" in a BDSM sense, it is all a mind set. As a general Rule, it is the bottom or "slave" that seeks out a Master/Mistress who can give them the illision of slavery. But when it all boils down, the "slave" has the ultimate Power .. they can stand up and take their happy asses down the road.
The reality of it is .. they wish to be treated as such.

How did they justify it? Ask any of them and they'll tell you that they didn't have to justify it.
A slave is property... nothing more, nothing less.
To a slave owner, their slave was just like your xbox controller. When you get mad, you throw it. If it breaks, you buy a new one.Comment

Back then, as like today, n1ggers weren't regarded as humans but wild n1ggers animals that had to be made to work.
Unlike today n1ggers back then had real value, worth.
A n1gger was worth thousands of dollars and, contrary to what white apologists would have you think, they were not beaten for sport but cared for and nurtured. Beating a n1gger back then would be akin to you smashing the headlights of your car because you felt like it.
