I know that in the past, forest fighters from Canada have helped out in the US, also there have been times when forest fighters from the US helped out with fires in Canadian forests.

The Netherlands sent warships when the US started their war on terrorism, to partrol waters that the US navy could not patrol due to the need of those ships in the "war against terrorism".
Germany sent monitoring/spy planes during that time, to patrol the sky above the US.
