In thanking everyone who called, emailed and text messaged me about Fahrenheit passing away! She passed in her sleep (about the best way for a pet to go, IMHO) after an afternoon at the dog park and a ride in the convertible with the top down. She was 12 and she was my princess. I have been lucky and worked every day this week (Monday night I managed to snag work to make up for the girl who flaked for the afternoon shoot), staying busy has way helped! I am just about to tuck myself in for the night...shooting for Metro Thurs and Fri...thank you again for reaching out to me...and, as promised...a pic of me being behind! *giggle*

I too am facing the same thing in my life, my dog Sully is 17 (and if he lives til Febuary he will be 18), and is on his last legs now. I've been giving a lot of extra care to him all summer, daily pain medication, Help up and downt the stairs, extra stuff he loves mixed into his food (like bacon). He's hanging in there but I know it's only a matter of time now.

He's been with me since he was 5 1/2 weeks old.

Anyway, all the best to you. It's hard to think about getting another pet since it's impossible to replace the one you had for so long, but once the grief eases it is something worth considering, getting another dog. Give it time.
