    Good call, btw

I've never been to a Sonics, and I completely agree with Rashaan... Anaheim ! = L.A.

If they claim to be in L.A., there should be one within 20 minutes of me.

As for the tipping quandary... I tip at weird times/places... usually with a game plan. I tip at the dry cleaners, 'cause I assume some time in the future, I will need them to do something faster than usual, and don't want to be *that* guy when I ask. It goes over well.

It's fast food so I've never tipped. They bring the food to your car because they don't have indoor seating so it's their own fault. Carl's Jr. brings my food to my table 75% of the time anyway and I wouldn't tip there either. Tipping is for service and assistance, not for just handing you some food. Where are the free refills and the Sonic fool to check on how your food is?

At ours we have indoor seating, outdoor seating, drive thru, and car hop service. They are also in a very busy shopping center with a corner lot that gets a lot of traffic from all of the other stores as well as a super walk mart.

Here is the very simplist reason why I will tip the car hop attendies. Aside from performing the entire job an indoor waitress does, she does it on skates carrying a tray and also dodging numerous streams of traffic. To me this is above and beyond what some girl may do at some fancy steak house (unless they have tableside service) and we gladly will tip a real waitress. Well many of us will.

I just tip when I first pull in and get my drink while I make up my mind if I want to eat or whatever. I ussually read something or even pop open the laptop. When I push that button again WHAM instant service and everything is perfect. Not to mention I have had them bring me refills without asking. So seriously in that situation what is a few dollars.

Odd thing still is typically I do not like tipping and never tip automatically. Nor would I tip in drive through or carry out. I will however tip at places that now offer car side pick up, albeit a small tip.
