Site Review

Hey all!

I'm a lurker, and I know that this is the wrong section for this post, but we need some help...So, we can use all the views we can get.

We will be launching an escort site soon, and are hoping that some of you guys could give us a little feedback on the design of the site, or any business tips for escort sites.

I'm thinking the problem you're having because you have to be logged in to view the "hottest sponsors" images, but I'm not sure why you would get a 404 for that.

He isn't getting a 404 hes getting a 401.
You have the sponsor images as the main focus of the main page and the form is basically hidden in comparison to it. People are naturally going to click on the sponsored images thinking that is what they are supposed to do and then when they get that 401, they are going to think your site is broken.

This is the kind of feedback for which we are looking. I will tell our designer to add a warning that lets users know that they must be logged-in to view those images/ads.

Even though I do agree about this design needing a lot of work, or even a complete redesign; Thanks for your advice, but I will have to give a friendly go fuck yourself to everyone else who suggests this

I'm not sure whether or not we will be doing a redesign so I am hoping that we can get some advice on improving the current design.

For instance, I suggested that we reduce, divide, and label each row on the index page because I thought it would help with the grouping problem that this design seems to have. We ended up doing the opposite, and made the rows of thumbs larger instead...

These thumbs are the biggest design flaw that I see on the index page, but I don't really know how to fix this problem. When I view the thumbs I get confused, and am not really sure of their significance. Labeling the top as "hottest sponsors" seems to make it a little clearer, but is there anything else we can do? I also think that the "hottest sponsors" label should be aligned flush left.

So...Are there are any little tweaks that we can do to improve this current design?

Since it is an escort site people are going to assume the thumbs are some of the escorts.

I don't know how advanced your web guy is.
Maybe you can set something up in php to determine peoples location and have that areas listings for the first category display when they initially get to the site. Explain they can do a custom search using the form.

If that isn't possible maybe come up with some type about the site and maybe a pic or something. Make the thumbs smaller and push them down the page. Maybe break the form from the header so people don't miss it.

You need some type of content or people will get confused.

I would also suggest if you are going to make people login for those thumbs to make a more custom login area but that's just me. I can't speak for anyone else but if I see those alert windows on a site I don't expect that on im gone. Especially if I just want to click to enlarge an image.

I'm not the most successful guy here but that's what initially came to mind for me.
Maybe you can come up with some more stuff based on my opinions.

Your advice is definitely appreciated, and will be used to help improve the site. I will be talking with our designer shortly, and giving him the improvements that you suggested.

He is currently working on using geotargeting to display content on the site.

I don't mean to offend but seriously, the site is complete shit. Everything about it is fucked.

Putting "sponsor images" on the front page with some sort of disclaimer that you must be logged in to click on them? Are you for real?

If you're simply trying to throw money away for a tax write off then go for it. You're on the right track. If this is a serious business idea you have, you need a ton of help.

I gave you the best constructive criticism you could possibly ask for. Since you have fuck all going right, my advice is to construct something different.

I didn't tell you to do a redesign. Fact is, there is no "design" there at all. There is nothing of value or interest and nothing that even functions. You show us an incomplete and non-functioning site then complain about the feedback you get? God, I hope you didn't actually pay somebody to put that together for you.

If you don't want to be told that your site sucks balls then don't post a piece of shit site on a board called Go Fuck Yourself and ask for a review of it. You couldn't have been lurking here for very long or you would not have made that mistake. Either that or you're yet another fake nick trolling GFY by asking for a review on a site that is obviously garbage.

The site is functional; We have functioning login, provider, and payment scripts within the site. You will have to actually click through to the browsing area for this.

The site may, or may not, be redesigned. I am only affiliated with the site; so I do not have any authority in this matter. Because of this, please give your feedback on the current design only.

If you feel the need to up your post count, and must comment on the poor design quality, or make some other unnecessary post; I appreciate your advice, but be warned; the friendly go fuck yourself is still in play
