I was previously a huge huge huge Blackberry fan, and had 3 generations of them... but RIM dropped the ball. The big thing for me was the IPS display and the 960x540 resolution, and the fluidity and extremely polished nature of iOS. I do wish it had more features for the power user... For example, I would like to retrieve network files via the native iOS applications, and am stuck with lackluster 3rd party solutions that aren't integrated with the OS at all. That's one thing that Blackberry had that I really loved... applications could integrate themselves into the menu structure of the OS. You could snap a photo, and then choose Send to Facebook... easy as that. Now, I snap a photo, have to back out of the camera app, and go into Facebook, find the file... and then upload. Lots of really lame-brain stuff with iOS...
But... with all of it's shortcomings, I really love how polished it is. And I love the support it has with 3rd party accessory manufacturers.
The luxury accessory manufacturers only make accessories for Apple products. There's too many Android products on the market to make that possible.
