I used to know this crazy German chick back in LA...I lived on my sailboat in Marina Del Rey and she lived on hers right next to me...but her boat was full of cats...and she stunk like kitty litter.

Anyway, she disappeared a couple of times when slip fees were due...and both times her dad died...funniest shit I ever heard.

Not sure if this is what happened here, but I've always wondered about those peeps that make up a "death in the family" or "cancer" or some other "why would you fucking invite the bad karma on yourself and yours by lying about that sort of shit?!" stuff...

I come from an old school italian family (Read: Very Superstitious).

Maybe it's just my background, but to me saying someone died when they haven't is almost welcoming it to happen.

I've come across alot of bad things like that actually happening in my family this past year, and was recently diagnosed with cancer.... too hear that someone would lie about it is beyond me.. and I can only imagine how bad they would feel if it were to really happen.

At the same time in this case, you never know maybe going to the game was a way to cope with the loss.. you just never know..
