I thought they had to be in a place where children didn't frequent, not in a public place, and had to be monitored(in view of) by an employee at all times

I remember about twenty years ago in Colorado they made it law that machines selling cigarettes had to be in plain view of employees. Later they made it illegal I think. I believe it's illegal in Texas, but maybe not in a bar.For historical display only. This information is not current:

Almost certainly illegal. You're not allowed to set up an actual cigarette vending machine in the same places you can set up a snack or soda machine. The person who owns it probably stuck them in there to make a profit and hasn't been busted yet.
On a side note, I also remember when I was 13 there was a gas station where it cost 50 cents per pack. And another that still had an ancient nickel soda machine which was awesome.43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
