everyone is a crazy conspiracy theorist ...
"Anywhere we see decent being stifled. Where is the fear ? Why is the fear there ? Most people I talk to that have a problem with the government don't sit around and talk about anarchy or overthrowing the government. They just want to see a government that represents their community value."
"Why are we so afraid of that decent, what's the point of a democracy?"best host: Webair | best sponsor: Kink | best coder: 688218966 | Go Fuck Yourself

I admit I didn't watch the interview linked here. I might later on while I work.
I had the pleasure of meeting him a few different times in the early 90's. The first time was when I was interviewing a band that was opening for them on tour. I only talked to him for about 3 minutes, but he came off like a real asshole. The second time was when they were out promoting and touring for Mellon Collie. I interviewed the whole band for about 45 minutes (I used to be a music journalist) and even if I would direct a question to someone else in the band if he didn't like how they were answering it he would cut them off and finish answering for them. I hung out for a few hours and watched the show and I noticed that he pretty much treated everyone around him like shit.
Maybe I just caught him on a bad day. Maybe he is just one of those guys who is lost in their own genius and because of that he lacks some social skills. Or he might just be a dick.
All I know for sure is that during the seven years I wrote for that magazine and then three years after that I worked for a indie record label I met a ton of famous musicians and he stands out as being one of the worst as far as how he acted and treated people.Comment

I have no pain over it. I am still a fan of theirs and like many of their songs. The guy is just a jerk as far as I'm concerned. My feelings were never hurt, he was never really an asshole directly to me, but more to those around him. It is more of an observation than having my feelings hurt.
No, and for the last 10 years, I work for myself.Comment

Did those around him cry ? Were they disturbed in any manner ... i.e. eye twitching, sudden gestures or did they look like these crayzay people ?I have no pain over it. I've been a Smashing Pumpkins fan for a long time. Since Gish. But I always thought he was up his own ass, and he ruined my favorite band by taking it in this weird experimental direction. He just lost me.
But I'm really feeling him with what he's saying in this video.

My girlfriend loved these guys 10 or so years ago when they were a big hit.
This was one of her favorite songs.
I didnt watch much of the video but I heard him mention moving forward with music since the industry/biz model went to shit and this song popped up in my head lol.
Most of the silly pr stupid images responses I make follow a similar pattern.
An image or video that has a very faint/subliminal meaning to the post that I remember seeing in the past. If only my brain didn't store such useless shit, I may be more useful on here.

if you can find it, there's this early 90's live show from German television. They blew the fucking roof off this place.
I think it might be this show. I remember the purple shirt.
Jimmy Chamberlain is one of the most undermentioned of the great rock drummers.
Always loved this performance too. Cherub Rock is the first song I ever played all the way through on my acoustic.
Then there's the actual video. I remember being in a bar in Richmond Virginia in the 90's then having this song blast through the speakers. I was like "what the fuck is this?". I'm not even kidding when I say my whole musical world was shifted from that point on.
On Melon Chollie they started to lose me...then every album after that was a huge let down for me.Last edited by bronco67; 03-28-2012, 07:51 PM.
