Well, linking all blogs from all blogs was good technique when search engines was not after reciprocal link building. Today, they do not give much benefit, especially when they are on same class C IP.

If you want to rank in todays engines, built one-way links in natural way. By natural way I mean smooth link building overtime, spread anchor texts over wide range, have your text links in-line, content around the text should be relevant to your site etc.

          Interesting read, thanks!

So would reciprocal linking achieve higher SE rankings on a blog network comprising of sites on different class C IP's or would one way be more suitable?

Of course one-way links are more suitable than reciprocals, being on same class C is just the worst form of reciprocals.

In short, reciprocals does help your ranking but not as much as one-ways.
