LSU gets credit for sticking with the game plan and kept running it even when it wasn't working that great early. And Les Miles is one ballsy mofo. That 4th and 1 call with 3 to play was insane when a fg was only needed to tie it.
Gators had them down and ready to be pinned then two careless offensive possesions put that young defense totally on their heels and beat them up good. Still also got no idea what Urban was thinking wasting 29 seconds. Just stupid.
Now that the title hopes are gone, I hope the Gators now let the defense sink or swim and teach them to play bump and runs, press coverage and find ways to actually put pressure on the QB. Had the kicker not missed the two previous attempts he probably does kick it there.
Of course IF the kicker had made the first two he'd have been in that situation with a 3 point lead instead of a 3 point deficit....so who knows.
Anyways, I think he went for it so much on 4th tonight because he couldn't trust his kicker.

Absolutely the reason he did it but being that close it was much more a gimme and he would have gotten lynched if they didnt convert that 4th and 1. Guess they would have bitched if he missed the FG as well but damn with that little time left and just one timeout it was BALLSY!Had the kicker not missed the two previous attempts he probably does kick it there.
