    Religion and my Dad's advise on it

    growing up - my Dad ran a gravel truck operation.

    Churches of many demonitions were being built in my town, and older ones were always being renovated. They needed gravel for foundations, driveways, etc.

    They were always looking for a donation. My dad wasn't a rich man but he contributated when he could. We were lutheran. Delivering gravel one day to the church My dad asked the minister if dogs went to heaven. The minister pomptly said no. He got a bill and my dad never went bak to that church cept for weddings and funerials.

    One of the free churches asked for gravel one day - and my dad delivered it. Before making out the bill he asked the same question. The minister promptly said "of course they do, well the good ones anyway" - he got free gravel.
