    Chaturbate Test Run Results

    OK. I fell for the guy spamming the board about how much he was making from the dollar joins at chaturbate so I decided to put up banners and some pop unders on a few of my sites as a test.

    Here are the results
    banner clicks 1,200 ---- dollar joins = 0
    Popunders , don't even bother = 0000000

    wasted 2 hours putting that crap up. now I gotta pull that shit down.

    Just like that Live Jasmin shit!

          How often do you take ads down after 1,200 clicks?...

          In case you cared, I got 4 after 1600 popunders until I took them all down for a different reason

                  I take ads down after 1200 banner clicks when others say they are getting a join for every 10 or 20 clicks.

                              I got pretty good results with it, but the problem is that I also get good results for traffic sent to other sites for higher payouts.

                              Its really not bad if you know how to work your traffic. I'd start sending to them again if they would take API joins.

                                  Makes no sense to not offer an api. Maybe the method to collect needs a review if pay per free account, but no biggie. Even revshare would eliminate any concerns.

                                  Such a hugely successful way to make sales.

                                                  Chatterbate is a competitor of ours but I feel the need to defend them anyway, and point out the problem with what you did.

                                                  - Popunders are always pretty bad. If you don't believe me, ask yourself when was the last time that you bought anything online in a pop-under. The only good pop-unders are good for is to sell ad-space to suckers for. (Sorry but I think its true - we never buy popunder traffic for that reason alone). If popunders work they need alot more eyeballs than you can get in 2 hours.

                                                  - You didn't post a copy of the banner you used, You didn't say where the banner appeared. For all anyone knows you are using a poorly designed banner, or displaying content on that banner in a bad location promising one thing and delivering another.

                                                  - You didn't give your ad campaign nearly enough time. You really think that people take less than 2 hours to buy webcam chat porn? Think again. The potential customer has to like the site, like the content, have a credit card with available funds, and wait until wife and monkeys are out of the house, etc.

                                                  People that trash programs and bitch about how they don't convert for them without offering proof, samples, stats, screenshots etc, are amateurs. If you really want to make money promoting any program, you need to have stats running through your veins. You need to work with the program providers and adjust, fix and tweak, and tweak again.

                                                  You have chosen to get into this business and make money. Program owners are only way to willing to help you to do that. Instead of trashing Chatterbate, post your stats and other details and ask for some advice instead.

                                                      I've sent 820 hits and got 16 Tier 1 Chaturbators.

                                                      The traffic is pretty targeted though.

                                                                  the 1200 was banner clicks from multiple blog sidebars. The banners were the ones provided. the one with the whore shaking her ass.

                                                                  What kind of traffic.. I don't know, let me see..oh, yeah, all from google...

                                                                          Another thing.. Let me get this straight... We send them clicked traffic and they have banners pointing to all these programs that pay them 30 dollars a join and we get nothing from that. Yeah,,, sounds like a good program..

                                                                          My advice...don't even bother with them.

                                                                          make your own landing page with your own sponsors and send your traffic there.

I started off only with the embeds and was doing 1:80 ($1) with them. Then I decided to try popunders as well. I noticed shortly after I started with the popunders my embed ratio suddenly went to 1:300 ($1) from 1:80 ($1) where it had been constant the last couple months before. It makes me question what caused this. The popunders and the embeds are not on the same site. It's separate traffic so that cannot explain it.

                                                                                                                                          Sending premium webcam traffic somewhere for $1 at 1:80 is one thing but sending it for 1:300 at $1 a pop is another thing entirely. I really wonder what happened here to cause this change. <strokes chin>
