What are some good books to read, or some resources, to shoot decent photos?

Find a good photographer and assist for about 3 years.Comment

step one: learn how film works. once you understand how film is shot, captured, exposed, developed, then you can move onto lighting and digital format.

yes I used to take my photography very serious. when I see bad color images and OOF images having the same value as my work it's a bit disconcerting. I do know that the photography has little value in pornography.

Just start mashing the buttons on your camera until the pics come out looking ok. That's what I do. In fact, following my handy advice, Jayden shot these with probably under 4hrs seat time with a Canon DSLR:

Always do a white balance .. depending on the camera the preset white Balance can be off .. giving you Yellow skin ...
