Best thing he ever did for me. Okay not really, he's done lots of great things for me over the years, but that was one of the better ones at that time of my life. That first car I had was bought with my own money, and I damn well loved and appreciated it.
Kids I knew that got cars given to them all wrecked theirs.

It's like that out where I am in NB.. lot of 16-18 year olds working out of town to buy a car. It's highly encouraged to many youth here to get off mommies tits, travel out of town daily and work hard because our town is dying off economically.
When I lived in the city, every youngin had mommy n daddy's gift of a car.
My ex had to buy her own. At 20 she wanted a new car. Mommy and daddy were very well off, well upper middle anyways. He told her to earn it. Work for it and buy with your own money. So she did and within 4 years she had spotless credit, perfect work ethic and drive and on her second brand new car that she pays for.
