I have used them in the past, yes.
However, it really only makes sense (IMHO) if you have something actually worth selling. For example, a site worth $5/10,000+. Otherwise, it really is not worth the time, hassle, and fees. That being said, I've had success in the past selling off some larger properties.
It, like anything, has it's advantages when used correctly.

If you are selling "passive" income sites they can go for 12x multiples. I have seen them go for 24x+.
