Are there any stats on crime related to poverty vs guns? I think poverty is probably a factor more than gun ownership. Countries with a bigger social umbrella likely have less violent crime regardless of gun stats.- Free Premium Domain Lists and Tools at Clickmojo.com

The USA has lots of poverty. I'd wager most of the violent crimes are committed those living in those inner city areas.
I live in a poverty stricken country with access to an insane amount of firearms. We don't have a lot of problems.Comment

for the record though, i see no nations, I see no lines and boundaries.
My brothers stretch from Australia to Amsterdam, from Finland to Canada.
Ive made money with so many people from various nations, I am proud to have had the opportunity to chat and interact with people from all over the world. You wont see me bashing Holland, or ragging on canada. My only regret is I cannot learn all the languages as many learn mine and talk to me in mine. From Czech to London.

In response to Dirty's question regarding the legality of owning "bazookas"; owning them is illegal.
An rpg would fall under the class of being "destructive devices" which are illegal to own by civilians in most, but not all, states.
Of course if you wanted to own one, you could set up a trust in a state that allows civilians to own them, and keep your destructive device or machine gun there legally.
California is a state which allows civilians and law enforcement to legally own destructive devices, but their ownership is limited solely to people with the proper permit.
California has never issued, to a civilian, a permit for a destructive device.Comment

Anyone that turns this into a debate about guns is ignoring the cause of the incident. If you've never been the kid that was repeatedly jumped by groups of other kids or punched in the head for no reason while walking to class you wouldn't understand. Prejudice and racism grows strong within our school system.
I can honestly say I've never hit anyone in my life. I've never picked on anyone. I learned to accept the fact that 99% of people = shit.
I had easy access to guns and knifes but never brought one to school. Instead I started taking night classes along with day school to get the hell out of there. I couldn't take it any more.
Banning guns is not a solution. Eliminate the hate.Comment

That is probably true...but it is my opinion that is not necessarily a good thing. An accidental shooting is not a good thing...but some shootings are a good thing...because some people deserve to be shot...and I suspect that from the shooters perspective there are more people shot that deserve to be shot than don't deserve to be shot.When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!

It's not just a tyranical government to be worried about when the entire population is armed and many of them crazy or angry. Its your next door neighbour who is more likely to shoot you than a government hit squad.
