He had access to many weapons I'm sure. He could have also poured gas on someone and burned them. He choose a gun for reasons only he knows. But that is not the issue. The issue is the kid had problems. Problems that most everyone in this thread refuse to even acknowledge as the real issue at hand. As far as I see it, it's the only issue. But like every other issue in society, no one ever wants to get to the root of a problem. Lets just scape goat it or stick a band-aid on it and hope it goes away.
The fact he had a gun, acquired easily or not, is irrelevant. The real issue, and the only issue that is important, is what is wrong with the kid to make him kill someone at school.
Personally, I wish everyone (non-criminal) was easily granted a concealed license permit and had to take X amount of training in order to carry. Violent crime more or less wouldn't exist anymore. If Betty the soccer mom was packing, as was Joe the mailman and Jimmy the bus driver, people wouldn't be getting out line so quick.
