crazy girlfriend

she threatened suicide because we were arguing and i called her a couple of names

what would you do if your significant other threatened suicide during/after a verbal argument?

she is a angry young lady (23) (very much so - overly sensitive) and flips out when i resort to name calling (the name-calling is a bad habit i practice when we have verbal battles)

these kinds of arguments and things do not take place real often, but when they do... things get pretty bad - and things happen more than they should

i love her but at times i think we can both be too much for the other to handle... is there any middle ground here?

i think i need anger mgmt and she needs a counselor, but im not sure i want to be with this woman for the rest of my life

p.s. - i do have love and deep feelings for her, but i just do not know anymore...

oh please... you guys are just in the begining stages...me and my husband go through this every now and again.. You guys need to realize when you are trippin and take time apart...

the suicide thing works as a ploy sometimes in relationships when one can't get their way or wants sympathy..don't push her but give her sympathy.. if she throws that crap at you everytime then you know that it was a ploy.

You need to decide if you want to be with her forever if so then get the counseling..If not then save your money and part ways.

my hubby used to have bad anger problem and my mouth..well lt's just say its gotten better...but since the birth of our daugther we both have calmed down alot..

Ask her who she is threatening with suicide, herself or you. Tell her that making such threats are below the belt, and the relationship is over.

Usually that'll make her say she was only joking, etc. So in future you can ignore such remarks.
