You are both correct in your own perspectives. Arguing about Buddhism paths is ironic and so far quite amusing in this thread. There has been displays of ego on the subject of Buddhism so far in this thread rather than the actual practice of it implemented.
Either way, the op never states this was part of the buddhism studies, meaning it is a cool philosophic message that could be applied to many beliefs.
