Actually, today I recoded 195 old fhg's and added in the multiple tours module in the custom affiliate software I'm writing.
By the way, you shouldn't take posts out of context, at least include the response. It's a pretty old thread and people may forget that Mark actually had no clue what I did on a daily basis.

Just to get you started, it requires all new linking codes that work inconjunction with the old link codes, all new redirection scripts to allow old galleries on old servers to work with the new ones, all new html/php on each gallery, all new database management, all new content management to dynamically inject the hosted content into the hosted galleries via a simple click system.....

So then if you are hosting the images then just get a smaller image(s) and call it the same file name(s) as your larger banner(s) and replace your larger banners with smaller ones... this should be simple for you to understand... if you need help or if you are a bit slow... ahahahaha - u think that some of the top banners are Lensman looking for webmaster referral money. those are all paid spots. WiredGuy has it a little wrong - a good portion of the banners up there are long term advertisers and they get a discount.

BB - until they started paying people for sigs, this place was actually a goldmine to get business.
At one point, they even had a 'Thread of the day' competition that would qualify for prizes. I kid you not, there were actually FANTASTIC posts made in that era.
There's always been 'fucking around' but at least it wasn't a schoolyard pissfest and if there was - the actual pissfest was a lesson in business. Intelligent folks used to engage in the discussions - now they lurk and laugh at some of the idiotic antics while they run their well-oiled corporations during the day. Every once in awhile they'll pop out to clarify on some facts on the history of the industry.

The majority of people come into this area "fucking around & program discussion". True many more take the fucking around more than the program discussion portion of the topic. However any business can not be libeled or publicly slayed without valid proof since there is a lot of webmaster traffic present. A single thread on gfy often can and has destroyed more than one company or individuals reputation for life, if not down right drove them out of business. The program discussion is the business forum around here.
Most adult forums are no where near as successful as GFY, many do have referral banners, and then lots more can not even charge a tenth of what gfy charges per month. WiredGuy also left out the lower midsized button advertisers that rotate at the bottom and in the right hand corner near the post button by the way.
Will, as you know for some reason I personally seem to have a slight dislike for you. However I have never shown any disrespect and it was very refreshing to see you do what you did. I do wish a lot more people were like you.Comment

This is the forum that people post on although very little business is done here anymore, use to be a good bit more, now just drama and fighting. I think most people lurk read threads and contact people through icq etc... Instead of "doing business" by posting back and forth to each other on here. That gets hard to do when people pop in and make comments like "eat a dick" " you are poor sig whore" etc... but this is the forum where you can generate business, whether it be find a new host or sposor, hire someone to do SEO for you, find new affiliates, etc.. this site has generated 10s of millions of dollars in business deals for people posting here.

there is nothing special about this one more so than the others, other than there is more people who read here and more posts, so it stays very active. On some of the others you post and someone replies back to you 3 days later.
I think of messageboards like bars back in college, they all offered the same drinks at the same price and the same loud music, idiots getting drunk and fights in the parking lot, but there was always 1 or 2 that had a line down the street charging $10 to get in and then there were other ones a block over that was exactly the same with no people in it.
