I thought subway had a standard practice for all their stores around the world? am I right to assume that wrapping a 12inch sub and then cutting it in two is not standard practice? and any "sane" person would realise that is a very bad bad way of doing this

I've worked at Subway, on and off for over 8 years and never been told to wrap first then cut it. You cut it in half then wrap it. They must have got it wrong and no one corrected them. And yes they have a standard practice for all their stores. The have secret shoppers to to every store a couple of times a year to make sure of this.
