I thought subway had a standard practice for all their stores around the world? am I right to assume that wrapping a 12inch sub and then cutting it in two is not standard practice? and any "sane" person would realise that is a very bad bad way of doing this

That's your biggest problem with them? What the fuck difference does it make when they slice the sandwich? I would be more concerned with the fact that their sandwiches are stuffed with weirdly tasteless meat and cheese in precisely cut and weighed portions. Their bread has an odd chemical taste to it, too. All in all their sandwiches are pretty nasty. Not to mention that they use non-union labor to build their stores. Plenty of reasons to hate Subway besides the way they slice their sandwiches. Patronize your local deli instead.
