FUCK Subway !!!

Just went down to my local Subway store - First time in a year or so...

I used to eat Subway a lot, but things change, and I gradually stopped... However, deciding to eat 'Healthy' again, I popped back down today...

So, I walk in, and ask for my 'usual' order - Ham and turkey - White bread - Not Toasted - No Cheese - EVERYTHING ON IT - Sweet Honey Mustard dressing...

Sounds complicated if you dont eat subway, but for an employee - STRAIGHT FORWARD...

I tell the guy what I want, he says 'OK' and asks if I want a 6 inch or a 12 inch sub... ? I reply that I havent been in for ages - How much for the 6 and the 12?

Perfectly reasonable question, yes?

Guy shuffles his feet - Mumbles... 'I Dunno' points up at the sign, and says 'It should tell you up there'

I reply with 'Perhaps if you work here... YOU SHOULD KNOW???'

At this point a 'manager' (Aged about 16/17) appears from the back, and accuses me of 'Being agressive towards her staff, and that it WONT BE TOLERATED!'

I feel like a naughty schoolboy for daring to ask how much a sub costs !

She states its his first day - (Which I can understand) but I was made to feel a right CUNT !

So... Sorry Subway - You have just lost a very lucrative potential customer... Because I WONT be going back again - FUCK THAT !

I've never been to Subway but wouldn't the price depend on what's in it, rather than just the size? If so, then no, not a reasonable question. It would however be reasonable for you to know if you were gluttonous enough to devour a 6 incher or a 12 incher, regardless of the price, which is why he asked you.

And is it reasonable to expect the staff to know the exact price of everything they sell? I guess the kid could have looked at the board himself, but so could you, you fat lazy fuck. It's a low-rent junk food chain, not Dorsia.

Instead you chose to shout at (I assume, since it's in CAPS and the manager heard you) and humiliate a minimum wage kid just trying to do his job. Well done destroying the perception of Americans abroad as loud and obnoxious.

Talking about subway, I have been having issues at our local store.. in the town I live there is only one and they just opened only 2 months ago so its not like I can just go to another one

when making a 12 inch sub they want to wrap it without cutting it in two pieces first, then when wrapped into the paper they want to cut it in half

everytime I try and explain them that I want them to first cut it in two then wrap it in the paper they get angry and give me a bad attitude

I thought subway had a standard practice for all their stores around the world? am I right to assume that wrapping a 12inch sub and then cutting it in two is not standard practice? and any "sane" person would realise that is a very bad bad way of doing this

Everytime I go there, they put the sauce in the bottom of the sub, and the way they place it usually means that one side will taste something, the other won't.

One time went there, and asked for steak&cheeze and they forgot to put in the steak. How is that even possible?

Don't put fucking ketchup and pickles on there, how hard can it be NOT to do something? I swear they do it on purpose just to fuck with a non-Jap. Anyway, I went on the drive-thru and once again, they put fucking ketchup and pickles on there when I specifically asked that they be left out. Pickles I don't mind, I can just pull them off, but ketchup isn't cool.

So I took them back into the store without bothering to put out my cig, showed the receipt which shows the cheeseburgers were ordered without pickles and ketchup, emptied the burgers onto the counter top and used the buns to smear the ketchup around. I stood there sucking on my Parliament. The manager appeared, I threw my lit cig at his face & it managed to hit the little fucker. They made me another 2 cheeseburgers as asked & gave me a refund. I don't even care if they put a handful of bushy azn pubes on them, free is free. Now that was way over the top, looking back I'm lucky they didn't call the cops. In the US I would've probably been shot by some Dirty Harry wannabe....

That is what I am thinking as well. There are shitty managers out there but 99/100 times this is what happened and I don't know him enough to say otherwise with certainty.

First I would say that the employee was a dick for shrugging and muttering that the price should be up there on the menu. If I were the manager I wouldn't tolerate that more than once before correcting their manner towards the people who keep the store open and paychecks rolling in. Second, the manager should have noted that aspect of the situation FIRST and THEN if you were being aggressive asked you to stand down or please leave or whatever.

I also wouldnt want some random customer telling me what I should or shouldnt know at my job with aggression. But dealing with people like that is part of the gig in customer service. Customers get a free pass on that until it's way over the top in my book.

That's your biggest problem with them? What the fuck difference does it make when they slice the sandwich? I would be more concerned with the fact that their sandwiches are stuffed with weirdly tasteless meat and cheese in precisely cut and weighed portions. Their bread has an odd chemical taste to it, too. All in all their sandwiches are pretty nasty. Not to mention that they use non-union labor to build their stores. Plenty of reasons to hate Subway besides the way they slice their sandwiches. Patronize your local deli instead.

Subway is the worst of the fast food places in my opinion when it comes to their staff. Complete idiots who don't give a damn.

The last time I went to a Subway near my home I was refused service because I wouldn't place the order in French.

When I complained, the idiots "boss" came out and said the same thing.

At this point a 'manager' (Aged about 16/17) appears from the back, and accuses me of 'Being agressive towards her staff, and that it WONT BE TOLERATED!'

I fucking hate rude ignorant twats that cannot either say, I'm sorry, I'm new, let me find out for you... so you could answer, ahhh no probs mate. But instead, they act like fucking morons, especially the stupid little girl that thought she was something special because she's a manager.... of a fucking subway!

I say, go BIG MAC! Much tastier & similar price.... Smokies, if you have them near you or KFC!!

Stick to it & let's hope they go out of business
