Triple your click through rate for email

Put Click For More on the picture.

I did a split test on Friday and the email with the call to action on the image got 3 times the clicks that the other did.

    You're welcome.

As most email clients block images by the default, a text link would be better. No, you are welcome.

I used to wonder why junk mail had three shitty illegible lines and a link. I figured it out... it's for this reason. Those kind of emails were more likely to get through my spam filter. Of course it got out of hand and I had to go back to Spam Arrest.

Edit: Oh, nm, you're talking about how like in Outlook, you have to add sender to safe sender list before viewing images.

Yeah, I don't think it will work. The idea is having the click here ON the image. But it is worth testing.

The other problem with the spammy emails, is they don't have enough actual machine readable text on them, which also pushes them into spam folders.

I used to use cool CSS tricks to display text when the client had images turned off, but that ended up being so platform specific as each email client treats CSS differently that it wasn't worth doing.
