I got a letter from Wells Fargo Bank the other day. They wanted to let me know that they have partnered with blahbityblah to offer me FREE credit protection. It's an added benefit for being a valued WF customer. All you have to do is sign up at ksjfnkdsjfng.com*.

*First 30 days are free. Each additional month will be $19.99/month.

How old is WF? Like 150 years old. And they have the gall to send mailers out like that? I know pretty much all of the banks do this but I just thought it was sad. Even mainstream, respected companies engage in various levels of misleading advertising.

I guess we've become so accustomed to bullshit advertising that if they don't make "over the top" claims, we won't bite?
