Type in. Typo.

The domain has never had any of its own content on it. It was just redirected to an affiliate program for online dating, where it made around $40 a day from the traffic. It's actually doing better with the parking landing page!

All that proves is what I've been saying. It's NOT traffic from links to an older site. You didn't do anything that I'm sure any interested party wouldn't have already done.

And if it was too good to be true, I wouldn't be letting the high offer test it.

Er, a domain ranking 1xx,xxx on Alexa for the week a typo of one that is unranked in Alexa? Nope. In fact, with ? = any character, I've tried ?asdating.com, a?sdating.com and as?dating.com, plus sadating.com, as.dating.com, dating.as (the ccTLD for American Samoa), and other possible things asdating.com would be a typo of and nothing comes remotely close to the Alexa.com of the name. It has no incoming links so it's not like a site may have accidentally linked to it even though nothing's on it (which would be a poor source of traffic anyways as they could fix that at any time). The only absolute possibility I can think of is if there's an extremely remote extension that asdating is not only taken in but the domain hosts a very popular website and people are typing in the .com, but the only ext I've seen that's taken is .in (no Alexa) and .net and .org on 9/24/07, obviously not making them the source of traffic.

Also, as someone on another forum has pointed out with no response from this owner, DomainSponsor has referrer data that can be provided. Granted, he's letting someone test it and ultimately we'll either find out whether it's real traffic or not (or they'll buy for $15k and we'll be left with assumptions), but he could have provided that referrer data.

Anyways, he has done a lot of business on the other forum I've seen this on, so I hope for his sake nothing fishy is going on.

You're right in your info. I wish I could help you out more, I'm being honest. As for Domain Sponsor referrer stats, where can I get such stats? All I know of are the stats posted in the screenshot above.

Nothing fishy is going on, which is why I'm letting the high offer test it. If he finds something wrong with it, he'll be helping me out as well, as I can advertise the domain with the info he's given me. Reputation means more to be than money, no matter what forum (or anywhere) it might be. I'm not out to tell someone the wrong info, I simply do not know.

To be honest, I don't use it much myself and am going off of memory here, but I believe there should be a little R to the left of the name that stands for Referral stats.

Anyways, the only thing that really stuck me as odd is that you have a name like that that you don't provide referrer stats for but say that the traffic is type-in/typo and you don't even know what from. It would be one thing if it was a good name and you got it for that reason and it happened to be getting this traffic, but asdating.com?
