Well, the children only came forward about it recently. After she got out of the hospital, she took her kids and ran to her home state of MI. She has not spoken to an attorney other than the district atty in Jefferson Parish, LA. He said she didn't have enough evidence on the sexual abuse, and she didn't even try to prosecute for her injuries. I haven't spoken to her in 10 years till tonight, and believe me she is terrified just talking about it. Really, she was having panic attacks. I do believe her. Things like this happen in New Orleans A LOT and nothing much is done about it. Like most survivors, she thinks it was her fault and that no one can help her.
