Child protective services or whatever it's called in Idaho can step in based on a good faith belief that the children with him now are in danger. A prosecutor is looking for proof beyond a reasonable doubt and has statute of limitations concerns. CPS is probably a better bet. They'll need all the evidence you can get them. Names and phone numbers of witness / victims if not affadavits, etc.
