thank you....and you asked why no social worker helped at the hospital....there wasn't one. It was Charity hospital in the warehouse district of New Orleans, the murder capital of the country (per capita...actually it goes back and forth between NOLA and Detroit). It's the equivalent of the free clinic, and people sit in the waiting room for hours with bullet wounds. It's very "same ole, same ole" there, very jaded workers. I don't know what it's like there now, post-Katrina, cause I don't live there anymore, but I had to go there a few times myself when I didn't have insurance. Not a pleasant experience, I assure you!
