Sounds like you are getting a taste of sustained energy from that high protein meal. Nothing at all wrong with eggs and bacon. If you're dieting, you'll want to switch to turkey bacon, but I know you're not in that boat. When you have cereal (and I just assume) it has some kind of sugar, you'll crash after a few hours.

Here is what I have normally.

At 630am I have a Clearvite shake with almond milk before I got to the gym to get the carb load I need at the gym.

At 815am, Right after the gym I have some sort of animal protein and a bowl of raw organic oatmeal with cashew nut butter in at right after that. Sometimes gluten free bread and some cashew butter.

Around 1030am I have some kind of fresh fruit and a handful of almonds for a snack.

At 1200pm I eat greens with either chicken, fish, or beef with some veggies or something else. This gives me sustained energy to about 300pm.

At 3pm I have some kind of snack like apple chips, banana chips (No sugar coated), or cashews.

At 630 I have dinner. Quinoa, or wild rice, or some other low starch filler with chicken, fish, beef or a veggie burger, gluten and dairy free.

At 900pm I have some kind of low fat, low carb snack to close the day.

Throughout the day I have at least 2+ litres of water, and water with every meal.

Honestly, me cutting out sugar from my diet made THE most difference over the last few months. Being gluten and dairy free only makes it all better in my opinion.

Caffeine was the other thing that was just the enemy to my mind and body. Since I've been free of caffeine, I am seriously a different person. So much more relaxed, I don't lose my attention on task at all. It is night and day from when I was consuming caffeine.

I know the exercise 4 times a week is making a ton of difference in my energy levels as well, but the sugar and the caffeine, at least for me personally, were just killers.

Aslo, when I drink alcohol now, I have just hard liquor. No mixers. No beer. Just scotch neat in a glass or wine.

FYI, the diet above comes in around 1800 calories, which is what my trainer has me on doing circuit training and kickboxing.

Live well.
