It's unfortunate that Romania government collapsed. Everyone would sure like to receive more money in higher salaries and less taxes. Prime Minister said priority is the economic and political stability of Romania. That makes sense. Romania has announced plans to join the eurozone by 2015. That's interesting.

The eurozone is an economic and monetary union of 17 European Union member states that have adopted the euro (€) as their common currency. The eurozone currently consists of Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. Most other EU states are obliged to join once they meet the criteria to do so. No state has left and there are no provisions to do so or to be expelled.

This should be instructive to watch. Another country spent itself into unsustainable debt, just as the US has done in the last three years, trying to buy votes. When they can't borrow anymore, the spending has to stop and the people on the government tit freak out. Next, in order to get another few years of freeloading, the non-producers will vote in communism, taking over businesses and sucking the last bit if lived out them. Unsatisfied with $200 / month government wages, many will begin to operate an underground free market tax free, competing the cycle of getting back to the only natural economic system there is - you and I making a deal, refusing to give some bureaucrat 50%.

The US should pay attention because we're on exactly the same path, about three years behind. What happens in Romania over the next couple of years is where the US will be in five years unless we make drastic changes immediately.
