Lesse Majeste - Dont insult the king, stand up when everyone else does at the movies.
Be Respectful - Don't just go there throwing your weight around, be nice to people
You are a Walking ATM Machine. Many Thais see you as nothing but a walking ATM machine. Be aware of that.
Watch your drinks in sex bar areas.
Always use a metered Taxi and get out if the meter doesnt go on.
If using a Tuk Tuk agree the price first and know the number for the tourist police in case.
If going to a soapy massage be extra cautious about your belongings.
Other foreigners may befriend you to scam you, be aware of this.
The police are typically corrupt, often "tea money" is required to get out of some situations.
If the worst happens and you do find yourself in trouble "Negotiate Your Way Out" BEFORE you get to the police station, dont scream about wanting the embassy at first or this right or that right because then it will be too late.
Above all be realistic enough to know that most Thai's don't really want farang in Thailand. You're the outsider and unless you have a close affiliation with a good group of close Thai local friends you're just another "farang".
