Paul, i have a few questions for you

    Regarding this:

Keeps out people with child porn on there TGP sites.
    Helps cut out scammers.
Makes sure those promoting the sites are promoting the sites. With most sites reporting 50% never do anything after being approved this would be sensible.
Let's the sponsor know if this is a serious player or someone looking to seed his site with free content to sell ads to dating and cam sites.
1: How does it keep out the lame?
2: How does it keep out the stupid?
3: How does it keep out those with a big mouth on boards?
4: How does it keep out surfers?
5: How does it keep out people with cp on their sites?
6: How does it make sure they promote the sites before they signed up?
7: How does it make sure it's a serious player?

    Thanks.

        1. If the "name" field shows it's someone who has nothing better to do than spend their day thinking about Paul Markham, they may be lame.

        2. If the "name" field shows someone who spends their day thinking about Paul Markham, they may be stupid.

        3. If the name field reads "Paul Markham", that's a big mouth.

        4. You've never seen a note from a surfer? They are recognizable.

        5. Look at their site. Is it called PTHC-adolecente.com? If so, it's probably CP.

        6. If it's someone who spends the day arguing with Paul Markham, they won't have time to promote anything.

        7. If it's someone who copy-pastes into new threads because arguing with PM in one thread wasn't enough, they may not be a player.

Thanks for covering the points Ray.

So many reasons that it's a wonder why he hasn't run into a few before.

              Affiliates claiming they own google.com
Affiliates who show you a site "under construction" "parked" or one they don't own.
Or one with so much questionable content on it the sponsor doesn't want to be linked to CP.
Or one with so much pirated content on it the sponsor doesn't want to be linked to it. Yes some still have principles.
Or one with just the wrong content on it the sponsor doesn't want to be linked to it. Like she-male and the sponsor has teen sites. The sponsor can ask.
A site that does very well and doesn't need every single person who fills in a form to have access to their content. Like us that had more in the affiliates area than some whole sites have. And we are not alone on this.
A site who simply doesn't want you.
A site that has the sponsor deciding how it's run and not every person who fills in a form.
A site that knows if you don't send some good traffic, they will can your ass.
An affiliate who plain looks fishy. Country, badly filled in form, wrong info, etc.
Simply checking out the information in the form is accurate. By approving and then emailing the guy. We've had a few bounce. Must of happened to others.

Big sponsors are now working their own traffic as the priority, they see the time when you guys will be a little add on. Because a few of you are ass holes who think you should get exactly what you want, when you want it and no one should question that. Welcome to 2012, you're living in the past.

I stopped reading here. If your first answer is so retarded the rest won't be much better.

So you always have to check the affiliate, right?

Francks original question was: why not check out the affiliate afterwards instead of before?

                          - it does not save you any time because the check takes as much time as it takes
                          - if you regularly check your new affiliates, how much harm could one affiliate have done in a few hours?

So the issue is: service VS nuisance for the sponsor.

In short: you did not answer the question.

                            please leave paul alone.

he is very very very old

you must remeber he used to take war pics during ww1

so please do not mock him

these days he is high as a kite on the meds his nurse gives him, he even thinks he is married to her (poor old sole).

he has no idea where he is.

he thinks he is living in poland or some place, when in fact he is in a care home on the south coast of england.

so just smile and let him be
