I suggest you change your DNS servers to point to OpenDNS. (www.opendns.org)... then register your IP with them and under "blocked categories" click ads and malware if they have it. The absolute best thing I've found for Anti-malware is: Kaspersky

If you're still using internet explorer, switch to Google Chrome.

I also have a PFsense router with SNORT IDS and it's also configured to pull IP address black lists every few hours and block those as well. I block all Russian Business Network IP's.

With that being said, I don't ever have any malware issues and don't even run antivirus on a routine basis. I scan once in awhile but it never finds anything.
