I ICQ'd you as I deal with this kind of stuff myself. At a glance i'd say this is open and shut in your favour and this 'agent' read: briefcase pimp is just getting grand ideas. Probably better to shut them both down fast, but it sounds like you won't be getting any more content out of the girl

Thanks guys... yeah in my head I was thinking we was safe... but some of the BS they were coming our with made me wonder...

They tell me the "model" as just won two major contracts, one in the UK and one in the USA... apparerlently including working for Playboy TV. They reckon they have TradeMarked the name of the model in both the UK and USA... and hence own the right to the domain name...

But as I explained the agent we created the name/brand... she was not the name until we created the name... I think the problem is, even though she hasnt worked for us for a while now, she continued to promote herself with that name... and now doesnt want to change her name...

Lawyer up and challenge the trademark application or C&D them attempting to do it, if you helped create it she shouldn't be able to trademark it as her own. If she's claiming she's already done it, she's lying it takes a few months (specifically US).

yeah. don't feel threatened. Should be a slam dunk in your favor. Would probably be a good idea to push back though, and threaten to sue them for using a trademark that is actually yours.

People in this forum always talk shit about fighting... and it never seems to occur to them that fighting costs money. The only question that should be answered is this:

"is this domain worth what it will cost me to defend myself in court"
