    Things to do with no electricity... :(

    Had a letter saying that on Wednesday from 8am to 5pm we will have no electric in my part of town - They are dong upgrading work etc...

    So that means no heat, no cooking, no lights no PC no internet, No TV or Radio... Nothing !

    I'll probably just go out for most of the day, and read when I am at home, but what suggestions can you give me for OTHER things I could possibly do, which are not obvious & apparent?

          On a side note they schedule a huge maintenance window but they don't always use all the time. Its just in case something goes bad.

                  Nothing, there is literally nothing to do without electricity. You can sit on the couch and admire the wall. So I'm actually wrong, there is something. Looking at the wall.

                                  No, this has been on the cards for months. They have even had two 'False Starts' where they canceled last minute, cause the felt the COULDN'T do it the allotted time frame.

                                  They have even been sending people in person, to the elderly in the area, to reassure them, and check they have adequate blankets and are prepared. Its a BIG thing... Not just a random letter...

                                  Anyway, I'm not REALLY worried... Just thought GFY may throw up some cool suggestions that I'd never have thought of myself !

                                                                                                                                                              Thanks, but that pic was taken in the middle of summer - Its mid winter now, so its rainy, cloudy and about 1 / 2 above freezing - They are even forcasting snow for Wednesday - Thats why the teams are going round to the elderly that live alone to prepare them for it...

                                                                                                                                                              But its cool. I'll be OK - Will prob drive to the next town over, go shopping and have a nice meal at a country pub... Its just annoting to have your routine messed up - Even if it IS only for 9 hours lol
