The cost of $200, I got through sequencing done on my DNA to find out risks. Turns out my risk for Alzheimer's is fairly high, about 1 in 6 as opposed to 1 in 15 for the rest of the public.
A lot of the things I have a high risk for run in my family in somebody.
23andme.com did do a good job, without me telling them anything they got right that I was white, curly brown hair, eyes likely blue (correct), I'm 100% European (my paternal is centered right around the Czech republic as I'm 25% czech) and my mom's more dispearsed.
It's really interesting and should help you in determining things to maybe look at for later in life. I'm still relatively young (27 now) but age catches on in this fast paced world.
