Stop complaining, a jail is one of the most expensive type of houses you can bulid, the cost to maintain them is even higher, not to mention they have their own inhouse "staff"

Come to think of it.. hardly any Chinese or Japanese people in jail.
While one eight, or others, would contend that the population of America's jails are populated based on race, I disagree.
These criminals are not behind bars based on race. They are there because they committed a crime & as such, deserved to be punished for it.
Now, perhaps there is some truth that race may play a small role in sentencing depending on jurisdiction. I see this more likely occuring in areas with high concentration of African Americans.
A criminal is either convicted by the judge, or by a jury of his own peers.
In a black community, the Judge often times is also black & the jury is also, 97% of the time, also black.
In this scenario I present above, the jury, peers of the criminal & of the same race, want the same things white people do.
They want their children to be safe from drugs, sex crimes, abuse, etc
They want their homes & possessions safe from theft, vandalism, etc
They want their life & person to be safe from rape, violence, murder, etc
They want their streets & neighborhoods to be clean & safe from gangs, drugs, etc..
Now, it makes perfect sense that a black community would imprison another person of the same race, because they want this criminal off their streets, out of their neighborhoods!!
On the other hand, sure white judges & white jurys also convict, but I do not agree on the race card at all.. a criminal is a criminal.. Just so happens that there appears to be more black criminals..
Why are there more black criminals?
That question, I will not answer, but I will guess it's relative to education & economics.
