Deaf of course. Being blind means being so dependant on others just for daily stuff. Besides they are much closer for a cure for deafness than blindness. Most deaf people can actually be fitted with hearing aids that allow for some sound to be heard.Comment

I would go more crazy not being able to see the beauty in the world than I would if I couldn't hear it, so I chose DeafComment

I'll take deaf.
I have cataracts and glaucoma, you have no idea what this crap is like. Everything is like double vision. I have to crank the fonts way up to read anything.
There is an operation for it but I am a little afraid of it. Doctors can and do fuck up. He fucks up, I wind up blind, he gets paid. Doctors don't give a fuck, they are just in it for the money, don't let anyone tell you any different.
I know three people who had this operation and they all wound up with coke bottle thick glasses and couldn't see for shit.
no thanks.Comment

Being blind has to be difficult. I can deal with not hearing, I got a good start on it when I used to bounce. My ears are still ringing and I haven't worked at the bar for 7 or 8 years.

Not me. No Way.
As a mute, you can always write, and use sign-language to express yourself.
You can pretty much be just as independent as anyone else... no one needs to guide you.
If Deaf, you'll need people to guide you through lectures... television... maybe driving... and it's possible that you might as well be mute, because you can barely (if at all) hear yourself talk - an important part of communicating through speech.-D.
