Can I open an account even I am not a citizen or living in the US? I mean I wanted to open an account in BoFA? Is it okay to open just present the passport?

It's tricky but not impossible to do. I live in Canada but my company maintains a US bank account for payments to/from US clients.

Can't you get a dollar account in your home country?
I've read online you can do it but you need a US address.
