I noticed lately that comments on peoples pictures are sometimes gone months later, all of them, but I thought people were just deleting and reuploading the pic for a fresh start or something. But now on something I posted only a week ago all the comments are gone and there's even one comment days ago that I never knew was posted. WTF? I knew I never should have got into this garbage.. I'm sure they still have logs of the old comments too. What a bunch of horse shit.

Some objects on facebook have a life of their own. An image I posted to a page of mine sometimes showed up on the wall, sometimes didn't. This went on for several days until it finally stabilised. Another time I immediately deleted an image after uploading it, the post to the wall was deleted, but I discovered several days later that the image itself was still tucked away in an album.
FB has a massive distributed db, I'm amazed it even works half the time. It is frustrating as an end user when it does weird shit like that though.Comment

Seriously.
My own photos. No one deleted their comments. And I've noticed other peoples photos that had at least 20+ comments were wiped clean. But I thought they had just re-uploaded the photo. Apparently not.
