Stickyfingerz board personality dies and a new one is born.

Every now and again, board drama is just fucking weird and uncomfortable. As is the case of Stickyfingerz and Stickyfingerz the symbol.

Basically, Sticky had been in a bunch of heated political wars on GFY. That never really goes well and someone always ends up crying, pulling traffic, suing (seriously), telling someone to leave America, and so on and so on….

I don’t like to even add them as drama, cause they are just the same old stuff, always packaged differently.

But on October 3, 2006, Stickyfingerz changed the game.

His board persona commited suicide and a new one was born.

So lets break down the post.

Stickyfingerz is dead 10-03-2006

Sticky starts off by letting us know that his board persona is dead. Basically this means everyone needs to stop fighting with him over his past posts. I have to give him credit, lots of people just leave the board, threaten others with lawyers, reinvent themselves as a new persona, but not Sticky, he committed message board suicide. God how classic. This was actually uncomfortable to read. I don’t think anyone as ever killed their board persona before. What a fucking specfuckingtacular thread. Lets break down the rest.

Well… Not the person, but some of the board persona is dead. I REALLY enjoy debating with people. Be it political or just whatever dumb argument has come about. Its to the point now that business is more of a priority.
Transaltion. I am in a debate hole and board persona suicide is the only way out of it!

I dont hate anyone here. Your political beliefs might be the polar opposite of mine. Thats not going to stop me from doing business. Maybe I went a bit overboard in the past. Im strong spirited. Thats a good thing.
I am worried that people will not do biz with me.

I dont think my outfront attitude hurt me in the long run. It made me stick in many peoples heads. At shows people knew who I was because of it. Its made me many friendships with people who agreed or disagreed. But alas… The time has come to mellow out a bit.
I am a branding guru. when all else fails, just say you were branding.

Im involved in several different projects at this time. I represent splitinfinity and am involved in many infrastructure projects for them. Im partner in a small content company, and am currently launching a side business with another partner. The opportunity is too great to risk over silly forum debates, as fun as they may be.
I make $40k a year, maybe.

So just expect to see a more Gentle Sticky from now on.
The birth of a new board persona just happened.

Im sure Ill have my flamers and baiters in this thread. To them “more power to you”! It helps Lens get pageviews and im all for that. , but I wont be drug into your snare.
People are going to make fun of me. I may not have something cool to come back with. So this covers my ass by taking out a “can’t be baited” insurance policy.

To anyone I may have offended or hurt over the last year or so I humbly appologize. Please remember it was all in the spirit of fun, even though it may not of seemed like it in the heat of the debate.
